The Tiger’s Apprentice 2024

The Tiger’s Apprentice builds its mythology around the twelve zodiac signs. Tom’s character development could use some work. That being said the other Guardians are far more fascinating. Hu stands out as a sassy almost brotherly figure who is in constant conflict with Tom’s character and viewpoints. An additional amusing highlight is the nerdy thief Sid. With a running time of just over an hour and twenty minutes this animated film is a great choice for people who have short attention spans because of its easygoing pace. The Tiger’s Apprentice plays it safe on both fronts which may disappoint those hoping for more nuanced animation or richer subtext. Afdah provides a diverse array of media beyond web series and English movies.
