The story Irish Wish centres on Maddie a writer who now serves as an editor for Paul Kennedy, a well-known Irish author. The movie begins with Paul’s new book, which Maddie has practically ghostwritten, being released. Even though she is only given credit as an editor it is clear that she is madly in love with him. Maddie is prepared to tell Paul how much she loves him at the launch, but she waits for him to initiate the conversation.
