In the excruciatingly awful redemption story 5lbs of Pressure, Adam, an ex-con who recently finished his parole, is the main character. Adam has been free for three years after serving thirteen years in prison for a murder. He just wants to get back in touch with Jimmy, the teenage son he never knew, if only his ex-girlfriend Donna would allow him to return to his old neighbourhood. Eli is good friends with Mike, whose Red Hook-based uncle Leff is a menacing drug dealer.
