The movie starts with a man driving to a wooden farmhouse in winter 1980. In the garage, he noticed blood dripping onto the windshield from the upper ceiling. He moves quickly to see her daughter playing alone in the room. He goes in flashback reminding of the day when he is enjoying his daughter’s birthday with his wife at their Manhattan apartment. He is working for a small Hudson Valley college teaching arts.
