The Prom 2020

“The Prom” is a comedy-drama movie that revolves around two groups. In this movie, Dee Dee Allen (Meryl Streep) is the best stage actress.  But when her joint musical album flops, and her career seems to be over. Last hope: prove to the world that they care about others too. Supported by their actor friends Angie Dickinson (Nicole Kidman) and Trent Oliver (Andrew Rannells), they are looking for a “case” in which one can get involved. Soon they find Emma: The lesbian teenager causes a stir in conservative Indiana because she insists on going to the big prom with her girlfriend. Before that happens, the moral guards prefer to cancel the ball, although Dee Dee Allen has to fight for Emma. But there is another problem: Emma’s girlfriend is a school favorite Alyssa, who has not yet come out and is afraid of the consequences.
